COURSE OVERVIEW

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Follow railroad RWP requirements
• Understand and comply with 49 CFR 214 subparts A & C
• Identify when and where roadway worker protection is required
• Understand on-track safety protection procedures
• Define key words associated with roadway worker protection
• Recognize hazards associated with working on or about railroad track
• Participate actively in a job safety briefing
• Follow the direction of a Roadway Worker In Charge/ Employee In Charge

ONLINE COURSE DURATION

The course duration will be 3 hours as a self-guided e-learning course. More experienced participants will require less training hours than a new employee with little or no experience.

PASS MARK

Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 92% must be achieved in order to pass this course. The exam is able to be taken two times in efforts to achieve the pass mark. Printable resources are available for reference while completing this course.

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION

Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing. A plastic badge will be shipped within two weeks following successful completion.

Course Passing Score

A passing grade of 92% or higher required.

Course Final Exam

You will have two attempts to pass the final exam.

If a 92% score is not achieved on the two final exam attempts, a new course will have to be purchased to receive two more final exam attempts.
